PINKY AND CLYDE'S ARCADE BAR  -  PARK CIRCLE, NORTH CHARLESTON  -  GET DIRECTIONS

WE NOW HAVE KID'S DAY!! - EVERY SATURDAY FROM 12PM-2PM!!

Origin

What is the true origin of the most mystical arcade bar in Charleston? By the Power of Greyskull! Or conceivably over breakfast, potentially in a club. Perhaps they were fed after midnight. Some say Falkor was involved.

Local lore suggests of a fated meeting between the owners of Park Circle’s best arcade bar. However, it should come as no surprise that four students from diverse backgrounds found themselves in that same Saturday Detention. Ryan, Erin, Art, and Sarah were a charismatic group with unique strengths and shared dreams. As they spent the day together, they discovered their common love for arcade games, fun, and camaraderie. Ryan’s charm, Erin’s resourcefulness, Art’s rebellious spirit, and Sarah’s kindness created a dynamic and supportive atmosphere. As they shared stories and opened up to each other, they realized their shared passion for arcade games and the idea of owning an arcade bar in the future. Tasked by Principal Vernon to each write 1,000 words on “Who They ‘REALLY’ Are”, they decided that while they may not have known then who they were, they did know who they wanted to be – friends forever. Not only that, these friends were who they wanted to Arcade with for the rest of their lives…them, the fiercest foursome ever! As they left detention that day, the group carried with them the bond they had formed and the vision of a future filled with friendship, fun, and the shared dream of owning an arcade bar together.

Ryan Hendrick aka "The Charming One"

Ryan Hendrick was a “Righteous Dude” from Conway, SC, and moved to Mt. Pleasant at 8 years old. In high school, he hilariously skipped school with friends, fooling his mom and principal. With friends Art and Erin visiting from out of town (and girlfriend Sarah *wink wink*) Ryan embarked on a thrilling city adventure with his pals. They visited museums, attended a baseball game, and crashed a parade. Ryan’s carefree schemes led to a litany of plot developing circumstances, teaching him about both friendship and responsibility. Caught in the end, he received Saturday Detention.

Erin Tyler aka "The Resourceful One"

Erin Tyler was an adventurous kid growing up in Columbia, SC. As a high school senior and babysitter, she found herself embarking on a wild and unexpected journey through Cola’s streets when a last-minute babysitting job took a chaotic turn. Erin not only navigated the children she was tasked with watching, but also various perilous situations – including encounters with criminals, attempted car theft, and a case of mistaken identity. Despite these challenges Erin remained resilient, showcasing her ability to adapt to unpredictable conditions. Although she was heroic in her efforts to protect the children, the parents totally narced on her and Erin received Saturday Detention.

Art Perry aka "The Rebellious One"

Art Perry was a rebellious, charismatic kid from Knoxville who moved to the small town of Bristol, TN, where dancing and rock music were strictly prohibited. He formed a close bond with the minister’s daughter, Erin, and became a symbol of youthful defiance and individuality within the community. Art’s irrepressible love for dance and music led to a movement to overturn the ban on dancing, igniting a generational clash between young and old. His spirit and passion were transformative not only in his own life, but for the entire town as a whole. However, he was caught in an inappropriate situation with the Assistant Principal’s daughter at prom and received Saturday Detention.

Sara Henderson aka "The Gentle One"

Sarah Henderson was the embodiment of every pageant parent’s dream. Raised in Lexington, SC, she went undefeated in all South Carolina Pageants from the age of 3 to 16 years old. She was the most popular, beautiful, kind, fun, humble, and giving of her time – she had it all. Sarah even donated all her weekly allowance to a local food bank. Sadly, she flew too close to the sun. Without an allowance and desperate, but still in a gentle sort of way,  Sarah decided to shoplift a pair of earrings from the high school bookstore to show her school pride. She was caught and received Saturday Detention for her actions.
